"Rodeln" down from Bellevue-Alm

Yesterday Stefan, Sigi and Chris came to visit me in Bad Gastein! Unfortunately I forgot to take my camera along.. which means.. I don't have any fotos at all of our fun-fun evening in town! But at least I can tell you what happened!!

The 3 arrived in the morning in Bad Gastein and went skiing for the day! In the evening we sat down in the hostel bar and started off with a delicious Augustiner Bräu beer! And as we were sitting there suddenly Bastian (this german guy I know from Vienna) walks into the bar. So he had a beer with us as well. That was just the start!!

I had reserved a table at this very cute and old hut up in the mountains and we convinced Bastian to come with us! So the 5 of us went up to the hut which you can only reach by ski or taking this "monumental" chair-lift up the mountain! It was such an adventure!!! Up in the hut we had super-yummy fondue dinner (you know this is the hot pot in the middle of the table in which you put meat and all sorts of stuff and cook it yourself on the table...) and after a "a couple of" schnaps we decided it was time to leave the place and rush down the hill on a tobogan! Yeah, it was great!!! I wished I had brought my camera.. it was such a nice evening...

Not even thinking of the fun we had afterwards in the bars of Bad Gastein.. loads of beer and jägermeister and we all went home with a happy smile on our faces!!! I'm so going up there again!!! Are you coming??

Long time no posts

sorry for not updating my blog sooner but the last days were quite stressful up here in the mountains... xmas was great and I also had a great start into the year 2007! how are you doing?? hope everyone had a merry-merry xmas and an unforgettable start into the new year!!!


I really wanted to upload the following fotos sooner but just didn't have time for it.. they are just hilarious!! I went to this traditional Austrian Evening in Bad Gastein with some friends from the hostel and Iris (she came from Salzburg to visit me for 1 evening.. she's great) .. so well.. I think the fotos tell more than anything else.. how did it get that far???? I can't really say... I just know that I thought it was a fun night until I had to put on a lederhosn and dance around a bench... well..
