Weekend in Ljubljana (Slovenia)

gettin out of the valley is something one has to do every now and then... so mike and me decided to go to ljubljana for the weekend.. pretty short term decision but we made it! and finally I got to stay at the prison hostel Celica! we even got to stay in a cell because it's obviously the off-off season of the year! Yeah, so it used to be a real prison and they converted it into a hostel and arts center. check it out on www.souhostel.com

ljubljana is a great city! it's so cute! we decided the city is a mix of mediterranian style, prague and a bit of amsterdam... defenitely worth a weekend trip!

best beer: union
best bridge: dragon bridge
best hostel: celcia
best view: from the castle to the mountains (you know seeing mountains from a distance is something very nice if you usually live right in the middle of them)
best coffee: villach (thanx to recommendations of Manuel M.)
best lake: Bled, with a church in the middle of the lake
best part of the trip to L: defenitely the "Tauernschleuse" where you have to put your car on a train to get throught the Alps... awsome!
best weekend co-traveller: Mike

Kitzbühel Hahnenkamm Race 28th Jan 2007

Yes, I was there... for all of my Kitzbühel friends... I was there! Only for 1 day though because all the downhill races had to be cancelled because of a lack of snow... sooooo bad... but still the slalom took place and I saw it live from the vip area.. thanx to Stefan!! (thanx mate) unfortunately a bloody swed won the race but at least the weather was just beautiful! just check out the photos.. and you will see!! wished I had had more time to visit Kitten in Kirchberg and of course wished that miss Dee had been there as well!!! maybe next year! :)
